Privacy policy

We only collect what we need in order to help you. In practice that means:

• Contact details you give us — name, business name, email address and phone number
• Business information you provide — trade or service type, approximate turnover band, licensing and prequalification status
• Information you supply during an engagement — financial statements, licences, insurances, project history and referee details
• Technical information collected automatically — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site, where analytics is enabled

We do not collect sensitive information (as that term is defined in the Privacy Act) and we ask that you do not send it to us.

• To assess your eligibility for government and council procurement opportunities
• To contact you about an enquiry you have made
• To prepare, lodge and manage tender responses and prequalification applications on your behalf
• To meet our own record-keeping, insurance and legal obligations
• To improve the website and understand how it is used

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your consent.

Where an engagement requires it, we may disclose your information to the government agency, statutory body or local council you are bidding to, and to registers such as the Queensland Prequalification (PQC) System. That disclosure is the point of the service, and we only make it with your knowledge.

We also use third-party service providers to run our business — email, cloud storage, analytics, scheduling and CRM tools. These providers may store data outside Australia, most commonly in the United States and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information consistently with the APPs.

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the page is used. It sets a cookie containing a randomly generated identifier, which we use to count visits and see which sections people read. We have IP anonymisation enabled and we do not use it to identify you personally.

The site also carries the Meta pixel. It records that a browser visited this site so that we can show advertising on Facebook and Instagram to people who have been here before, and to people who resemble them. That is what it is for, and it does contribute to an advertising audience. We do not send your name, email address or phone number to Meta, and we do not use it to identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install Google’s opt-out add-on, or change your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. The site will still work normally either way.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain records for as long as needed for the purpose collected, and afterwards for as long as required by law, insurance or professional obligations. Once no longer needed we destroy or de-identify the information.

If you believe we have breached the APPs, please raise it with us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the last-updated date shown at the top.
